Helping Hands
A Higher Purpose
This program puts our faith into action and helps those less fortunate in our community. In the model of Knights of Columbus founder, Venerable Michael McGivney, our Council contributes hundreds of hours of service to our local food pantry, Hickory County CARES.
Overview
The Helping Hands program recognizes the important work our Council does to care for the most disadvantaged members of our communities – the homeless, the addicted, the elderly who may feel isolated and abandoned, and many others. Through this program, our Council aids the needy through the activities we feel best suit our community, such as serving at or running a soup kitchen, repairing the facilities of a local service organization or something entirely unique.
